We make it a "must do" with every trip to the UK. We love the atmosphere, food and especially the selection of wines.

In the hub of the west end, weaving your way down a spiral stair case into a little French dream where wine and cheese rules and the service is passable.
A great way to while away the evening; soaking up the quaint wine bar experience; walk home with somewhat lighter steps; and generally stumble into the next day with a tentative bonjour!
Brilliant.

I have used this venue for many years because Don and the team always make you feel welcome and they have a great range of wines and dishes. Anthony and the bar staff are very capable and know their wines and it is pleasure to take both work colleagues and friends there. It is known by many as my 'London Office'. Try it if you have not been there and you will not be disappointed.

My partner and I visit London twice a year and always make a point of visiting the Cork and Bottle. The food is excellent(I am a vegetarian) and the wine list is a refreshing change. Usually when we eat out we can guess the wine list beforehand. Apart from the wide and diverse choice of wines we like the small anecdotes and cartoons that appear on the list. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and if you choose to have a glass of wine or two too many no-one bats an eyelid. The Corkie (our pet name) is also a great place to drop into during the day for a few glasses of the finest Rioja as a between shops pick-me-up. (or ; never mind the shops, let's stay here instead). If only there was one in Aberdeen!

I've eaten here a couple of times now and the food is superb. Also, their knowledge of wines is outstanding. Go to the bar, tell them what you're eating and the kind of taste you like and you'll be recommended a few to taste and decide on your poison of the day. A truly great place to eat.
