This place has really gone downhill. What used to be a Mayfair institution, has become a sad little place desperately clinging to its former reputation. Brian the bar manager is brilliant and makes sublime cocktails, but that's the only shining beacon in the place. There's an arrogant and obnoxious barman, I believe called Lance, (who thinks the world revolves around him), there's a huge TV at the end of the bar showing catwalk fashion shows (?!) and there's an incredibly over-French winelist, that is frankly boring, considering the current restaurant climate in the capital. Try the more interesting and genial Brian Turner Bar nearby.

Excellent quiet bar. Seems to be as yet undiscovered.The drinks are great. The barman Lance is excellent and made us a huge array of different drinks. We were ionly stopping for one drink but ended up buying the really good barsnacks and spending the whole night ! (Which must be the sign of a really good bar).
On the negative side it was quiet so lacked atmosphere and it is pricey but we'll be back again soon.
