Shampers

I've been going to Shampers once or twice a year for the last 10 years and the quality of food, drink and service has never faltered. It is excellent value for money becuase it is so good - neither cheap nor expensive - and all the food and wine seem to have been personally and carefully chosen. Strongly recommended.

Shampers is my favorite restaurant in London by far. Simon runs a great place and the food is fantastic. Great wine selections (I especially like the Ochoa) make this a great place to hang!
It is located right off of Carnaby Street and a perfect place to dive into in between shopping adventures!

God, I did not realise that this place did not have any reviews. It is the best place in Soho for wine and good food if rustic is your style. The wine list is awesome (no I am not american!) and the food good quality without being too expensive.
Go there all the time for lunch, dinner and for a cheeky one in the bar one the way home. Do a good food platter at the bar too!

I totally love this place! We stumbled on it by accident and were drawn in by the quirky, almost library-like feel to the it. The food is very reasonably priced and is equally as quirky as the decor. Being a huge oyser fan I was very impressed with the quality of the oysters - especially for only £7 per 1/2 dozen! The mains were great too but the deserts were truly divine! The wine list is extensive and, if you are celebrating I thoroughly recommend the Heidsieck Monopole champagne - a great bubbly for a fab price. In a city full of minimalist chrome, Shampers is a wonderful retreat for old world senses!
