Make sure you go before the 7pm Happy Hour finishes..and then bulk order your drinks for the rest of the evening.

Eat somewhere else - a group of 10 of us went earlier this week - we had to pay £16.50 up front for the food and service. The food was poor - burnt salmon cakes and dried out samosas.

Wouldn't go again in a hurry !

No, No, No!! AVOID THIS PLACE!! I went last Thursday with a group of girls from work. It's a dark, dingy basement bar that feels very claustrophobic (not sure why other basement bars like Digress, The Warwick etc don't have the same affect - maybe the lighting?) It was empty when we arrived and there was a distinct smell of vomit covered by disinfectant....nice. The bar staff ignored us when we walked in and asked for our reserved area - we had to wait for them to finish their conversation before they attended to us. It went downhill from there. The cocktails were a joke - watch them being made to see whether they put alcohol in! We saw some being made with no spirits in at all. My friend asked for a champagne cocktail that, on the menu, listed strawberry puree as one of the ingredients. The bar man gave her a half-filled glass of champagne - no puree. When my friend asked whether there there was any puree in it - the response was "No". I suggested maybe there should be a reduction in the price of the drink as it was missing some of the ingerdients - I was told aggressively that the bar man" knew how much a glass of champagne costs"... what??? He promptly grabbed a strawberry and threw it in to the glass of champagne. Rude, agressive and no idea about service. As one of the group had already ordered food we decided (badly) to all order food from the £3 bar menu. The friend who ordered first asked for duck spring rolls (don't bother they are tiny - you only get three with a bit of lettuce) - when the rest of us ordered 2 minutes later we were told there were no more duck spring rolls (!?) Not only that but at 6.30pm half of the bar menu seemed to be unavailable. Most of the staff seem to be mute and deaf. While we hastily drank our alcohol-free cocktails and ate our £3 chips (one of the few things available on the menu) a number of barmen/waiters walked right up to our group brandishing food - not a word about what was being offered so we had to play a game of charades asking what he was holding - just before we left, a mute waiter approached us holding some duck spring rolls - that they apparently had sold out of?!

It's horrible - don't go! Also - watch out if you're paying by Credit Card - they take it out of your sight and a couple of friends saw them fiddling around with the receipts and throwing bits of paper in to a "bin". I have spoken to a group of friends who went to The Soho the night after us (I didn't get a chance to warn them) and they had an appalling experience - including a wasted/drugged up/comatose toilet attendant in the girls toilets - where there was unsurprisingly no toilet roll...

We left hurriedly after our "cocktail" and chips and went to Bar Soho round the corner - such a lovely contrast, sunny, pleasant and real alcohol in the drinks! I repeat - DON'T GO TO THE SOHO!

Really great place. Have now been here twice, once on the weekend and once during the week. Very different atmosphere but equally great. This place is really great value for money, especially during happy hour! Its best to reserve a both or seating area, and do this early if you can. Great place for a great night out, a real must!

Good venue - been twice. Once early on when the place was quiet and they were served some wicked cocktails. Then went late doors and the place had a really good atmosphere. Thoroughly reccommended.
