lovely old style high ceiling piece of history. Cosy booths for those who want privacy in the back bar. Shame that the most characterful of old London pubs all seem to be tied to Samuel Smiths, which isn't too bad, but it would be good to see a good variety of real ales etc. not just Sam's own!

I took a chance by recommending the C 0f Y on spec to a group of old friends. We had a terrific time. We met in the smaller front bar and had lunch which was very good by any pub standards. Then we moved into the main bar and tucked into some excellent pints of bitter. Everybody happy. Definitely worth a re-visit or three.

One of the best pubs on High Holborn. Often filled with Law students and barristers, the atmosphere is friendly and warm. One thing- it doesn't have the traditional pints of Guiness etc. However, the way the pub is divided into three- the basement, the main bar and the bar at the front is particularly good as it has a good variation of seating. The food at lunch is great and good value for money. Thoroughly recommended
