We had a meal here on Wednesday night. My sausages and mash were really delicious. I have a taste of my partner's pie, which looked great but was a bit bland. Fast service. Lovely location and setting. Definitely be back. Good value

Yesterday, we had a superb Christmas lunch at the Old Bank of England. We were in one of their private dining rooms. The food was amazing, dressed crab was delicious. I had rack of lamb which was juicy and the portion big. Service was very friendly and helpful. In fact I couldn't find fault with any of it. The manager was so sweet, he even took us on a tour of the bank vaults downstairs which was fascinating. If are still looking somewhere to have a Christmas party give them a call. Gorgeous building, gorgeous staff and gorgeous manager!!!!

Just tried to have lunch at the Old Bank of England. Ordered Saugages & Mash. Bearing in mind this was around 12:30 on a Friday lunchtime, when the food arrived the sausages were completely dried out and hard down one side and into the meat - two people had ordered this, by the way, and both dishes were the same. The manager asked if we could order something else. Not much in the way of an apology and no explanation as to why the sausages had every appearance of being left over from yesterday. Didn't bother with another dish - if a London pub can't manage sausage & mash it doesn't look good for anything more ambitious. I won't be going back.
