Light Bar & Restaurant

i am a regular customer at the light bar and have been for the past couple of years. the food and drinks are excellent and very good value for money, the staff are friendly, always willing to help and very good at their jobs. the cocktail list is excellent and i have never been served a bad drink. the atmosphere in both bars is always lively at the weekend, and it is very hard to not have a good time. the door staff are always courteous and helpful. this bar is one of the best in london and definitely the best in shoreditch and hoxton. I highly recommend you have a night out here.

We reserved an area, which the staff gave away to another group. They then offered us the private bar upstairs which was fine as that meant we did not have to wait 30 mins at the bar to get served. However the private bar was only private for a couple of hours then the wanabees (arty fartys with daddies credit cards) decended. That was fine. But what was not fine was that they tried to charge people who were in our party a rentry price as we were in the members bar. It was not our fault we were shoved into to the members bar due to a cock up by their staff so we should definately not be charged for the priviledge.

The bloke on the members door has an attitude the size of china, if he thinks his bar will survive displaying this behaviour, well one day the dads creditcards will be full and treatment of this kind will spread around like wildfire.

Do not ever upset your bread and butter!
