Been here once before, earlier this year, for a meal in the restaurant, then some drinks in the bar and then clubbing and had a great time. Went back this Saturday, this time only for the night club, for which I had signed up on the guest list, and have to say I was very disappointed. Firstly, the service when we arrived was terrible. Had to help the person responsible for the guest list to find my name on it. Then the entry fee had to be paid in cash only (forgot to ask for a receipt, I wonder if I would have received one?), wherefore one in the party had to run out and get some cash. Finally, the DJ was the worst ever (lots of moments when the people on the dance floor were actually standing still, waiting for some good songs)! I wonder if I got lucky the first time around, or if I was really unlucky this last time. Question is will I dare go back and find out?

Went here for a business meeting the other week and was really impressed! Having just gone freelance, I've been looking around at members bars for a good place to have the occasional daytime meeting. Former colleague suggested this place, and it turned out to be fantastic! Really lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Hardest part was trying to not get distracted by the VERY long wine list! Let's just say I didn't succeed... Definitely prefer this to other members bars for daytime meetings. By all accounts the restaurant and club are divine as well.... will definitely be heading back there soon!

Went here for a business meeting on a Friday afternoon recently and was really impressed! Workwise, I've recently gone freelance but still need a place to have the odd meeting and I think this could be the best place to get a membership. The downstairs bar is not too crowded for daytime meetings, it's perfectly located, and we all found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Daytime coffees soon turned into evening cocktails (as they often do!) from the VERY extensive wine list. Didn't get a chance to explore the restaurant and club area but will definitely be heading back there. Can't believe I hadn't been there before!

Got completely ripped off. They even stuck £100 onto my bar bill before taking their 12.5% service charge, and then removed the £100 in the hope that I wouldn't notice the staff were going home with an extra £12.50 on top of the tip they had already taken for themselves. Service would have been much better if I had a proper cleavage, but unfortunately I was born male, and therefore didn't get a look in at the bar. And table service took soooo long...! Never again. I'm going to go to M&S and buy a bottle for the same price as a glass at No5!

I have visited No.5 several times now. Each time I return it is as ambient, sophisticated and elegant as always. One can't help but sink into the deep red sofas and relax. The staff are always very friendly and attentive. It really is a hidden jewel in the chaos of London. Enjoy the experience.

What a find! Stunning room (without deafening music), comfortable seats and reasonable prices. All that and just off Oxford Street (perfect retreat after a day hitting the department stores... it's literally just behind John Lewis).
