I live walking distance from this pub and I LOVE IT. The staff are awesome, its like walking in somewhere and finding all your friends behind the bar. The food is great value for money and delicious. They have San Miguel on tap (yay!), great wine and some gorgeous cocktails. The big leather sofas and armchairs add a cosy feel, as do the crazy orange lights and copious amounts of Jack Daniels bottles. I seriously cannot get enough of this place - I ALWAYS have a good time here - the Dj's and live music nights are great - its just got such a unique, warm, friendly atmosphere, without an ounce of pretension. Go here - but not all of you at once; we don't it becoming too popular......

Monkeychews is a fantastic find. It houses a lively atmospheric bar with DJs on the weekends and an excellent restaurant in the back.
Cocktails are inventive and refreshing. My favourites are South American in flavour including the Gonzo. However I think that the menu has recently changed. There's a variety of beers on tap, including Grolsch and Kronenburg and some bottled beers like Corona and Budweiser.
Food is brought in daily from Smithfields and delicious seafood from Billingsgate. The oysters and the sea bass are superb! They also do spit roasted Portuguese flavoured chicken.
You can hire the upstairs rooms for parties at reasonable prices too. My friends and I have had a few parties there over the years and had a great time.
Overall a good night out in more ways than one.
