World's End
your comments review this restaurant
I appear to be going to the same places as Waldo Pepper. Hello Waldo! Like most of Waldo's reviews, I agree with the sentiment regards the 'World's End'. A huge pub filled with a random mixture of people wandering off the street, that is too non-descrpt to conjure up any convincing atmosphere.
This venue is strictly for people wishing to arrange to meet their friends before moving swiftly on. Busy, pricey (even by Camden standards) and a complete lack of atmosphere - damn cold as well
Sit by the bar, have one drink whilst your friends turn up late (again), place spot the 'oh-dear-god-what-am-I-doing-here' expression on people's faces (a mirror usually helps), drink up when your friends finally arrive and leave.

P.s. I have to 'fess up that I absolutely loathe Camden now, so please read this review through that prism. The Bull & Gate up the road (semi-long walk) is more ramshackle but so much better if there is a gig playing.

A massive pub opposite Camden tube. Doesn't have a lot going for it really.Smokey, drab and not cheap.Still gets pretty packed on a saturday evening with the local 'Hiparrati'. The Elephant is much better, just up the road.
