It's a great looking pub. The garden is superb. As a result it gets very busy when it's hot and sunny and the service is frequently poor because they're understaffed (mostly...)
Case in point: the last time I was there it was packed and there were 3 bar staff. The one nearest me ignored me for 10 minutes until she tried to serve the lady next to me...who pointed at me and said, "He's been waiting forever".
The barmaid's response? "I've been working here FOREVER".
Great looking pub, nice customers, average food, and staff issues.

One of The Best pubīs I have ever been in. I worked and lived in there for a year or so in 1998-1999 and visit there with my family again in 2004. For a ex finnish barman this pub is always a great experience.

In the winter the Spaniards is warm and cosy with low ceilings and wooden beams. In the summer the huge beer garden is packed, and even four-legged friends are welcome. The food is reasonable, certainly huge portions, but pricey for pub grub. There's always a celeb to spot and it attracts a huge mix of people. Location in the middle of the Heath means it's rather difficult to get to on public transport, but it does have a car park. Highly recommended for summer evenings, combined with a walk on the Heath.
