I recently ate at Toast with my partner on a buisy Friday night. The staff were polite, being attentive but not pushy or condesending and the food was simple faire, fresh and cooked well. The drinks menu was fantastic with premium spirits at good prices and adventurous cocktails using fresh fruit. The comfortable environment made us stay longer than anticipated and we left feeling very satified both in the pocket and stomach.

Nice bar and nice location.... best night is mondays with a great mix of good looking guys and girls.

Foods not bad but there are plenty of better places to eat.

but overall its a good place to drink cocktails, get drunk and have a good time

Didn't think the atmosphere was anything special, not quiet enough for a quiet drink, not particularly lively, fun or sociable either. Getting table service is nice, but as the bar got busier it became quite cramped around our table. Our drinks took about 30 minutes to arrive, so no marks for the glum-faced waitress who somehow managed to find time to change our ashtray 3 times whilst we were there. Thankfully once the head waiter was on the case the drinks turned up, and were very pleasant.

It used to be much better.

My prawns were overcooked, the springrolls cold... Apparently the microwave was not working properly.

Far from value for money.

I only recommend Toast for drinks. I will never go again for dinner.

Credit goes chiefly to the menu and the location -

right above Hampstead tube station, it couldn't be easier to get to and has possibly the best view of all Hampstead restaurants/bars, with traditional tube-station semi-circular windows.

The food and drinks are also fantastic. For London, the pricing isn't bad but doubtfully could be afforded as a weekly event. The bar here serves some of the best cocktails with rarer recipes and accomplishes all with style.

The food is good but I don't remember much that couldn't be found elsewhere - potato wedges, stir fry (with a great vegetarian version) and pasta dishes etc.
