On arrival at this pub on a Friday evening in March, I was pleasantly surprised by the mix of people of all ages and appearances, and by the professionalism of the barstaff.
The food (I had a platter of cold meats and bread, with a side order of horseradish) was excellent, as was the bottle of red wine, and the people were friendly and well-mannered. Great for a relaxing meal and a few drinks.

For people in North London, lazy summer days are best spent in the flask, or rather, outside the flask. The flask boasts one of the biggest outside drinking areas in London, and its very picturesque, with lots of pretty people and a lovely countryside feel being so near to Hampstead Heath. The beer is good, with a good range of lagers, ales and wheat beers, with the food being stylish yet substancial and not overly expensive. Overall, a lovely pub in a lovely area, and if your on a first date, bring him/her to The Flask, you'll look like you know what you're doing!
