The Chapel Bar

I came to the Chapel for the first time last thursday for the launch party of soundclash.org's SHUFFLE!

I was happily surprised throughout the evening... First, despite being crowded, the bar was not that smokey and the vibe was pretty good all around. Second, the drinks were not over-priced, a good point for a venue closing at 1am.

And third, at the end of the bar, there is a proper dancefloor with a very good sound system and that was the best surprise.

Clash Hi-Fi delighted the crowd which skanked and sweat to the sounds of ska, rocksteady, funk, reggae and soul. It was a great night and everyone stayed til the end and shouted for more. Definitely a great night in a great place.

i went to chapel bar when they had a night on called glitter . i think the promoters move around to different clubs, I have been checking out their website. if you like funky nice people, top music like i havent heard out for year and a wicked bongo player then glitter is definitely the night for you.

Had a great night there! Celebrated my 29th birthday with about 11 people. Had comfy leather seats, and fabulous cocktails (the happy hour was especially good)! I recommend this place to everyone.
