Hmmm .. I have mixed emotions about Medicine. Been here several times and I always have felt that it tries to be a little Cooler than Thou, but fails miserably.

Although, I like intimate bars, unless you're right at the back sitting on one of the sofa's, you'll feel hemmed in due to the narrowness of the place. Drinks appear to be fairly reasonable and if you must go, try and get there early otherwise you'll have a long wait trying to get in.

The Medicine Bar tries a little too hard, and falls short by a long, long margin. Your mileage may vary, however. Go for one drink and decide if it's your kind of place. You'll be able to tell halfway through your first drink.

Wow, what can you say about a place like the medicine bar, aside from disagreeing completely with the other reviews! This bar could not be further from the haven and all time good place my fellow reviewers wrote of. Fist off I get to the door with my girlfriend and whilst she is asked for her £2 entry fee, I being of the not so fairer sex was told to pay double. Having discussed the merits of female equality with the lady behind the till and gotten nowhere I walked in feeling liked I’d just had my pants pulled down. Inside was a collection of nobodies trying to be somebodies! Everyone in there was looking around the bar seeing who was looking at them and were really just there to be seen and look pretty. The service at the bar was equally as “disappointing as the entrance fee, it would seem that the more you pay for drinks the slower they are to materialise! The one saving grace of this bar could have been friendly staff; however, they weren’t, pushing unsuspecting punters out of the way without a word of apology in the quest to see their friends hanging around like a bad smell. In summary then, the Medicine Bar is one of the worst bars I have ever had the misfortune of patronising. I recommend it to no one.

I went here two Fridays ago and have to say that it was possibly one of the best nights out that I have had the pleasure of having in a very long time. The clientele is buzzy, trendy and outoing, the night passes all too quickly yet at the same time you don't realise it. The tunes are deep, down and funky. Visit soon, that's an order!

Definitely worth a repeat prescription.

I have visited The Medicine Bar on a number of occasions and have always had pleasant time. There's a DJ at the weekends spinning some real classic soulful tunes. The decor is funky, Bar staff friendly and the ambience is a chilled out unpretentious one, with sofas to sit back and relax in.

Im a foreigner in London and I like it very much. When I came to Medicine Bar everyone was happy and was a good time. Good drinks and very much money spent. I dont know if they have food, but im sure it is as good as the drinks, mmm.
