This place is great; nowt fancy, just top gastro pub nosh that you actually want to eat sold at reasonable prices, a pretty good wine list and a great, chilled-but-not-self-conciously-so atmos.
Recommended if you live within 3 miles of the locale, although prob not worth crossing London for.

The Junction is one of the few North London pubs to have got it right. Now my local, it combines lovely interior, beautifully prepared food, charming staff, superb music and a great range of liquor. All only 10 minutes walk from my front door. Id suggest that the managers of a few of the other local pubs ie St Johns should check it out.Their serving staff could learn a lot from the Junctions attitude.

A gem. Follows the classic formula of the gastropub - charming Victorian boozer using a bold conversion to bring the kitchen (& its food) to the forefront of proceedings. Amongst the slightly conservative food on offer, look out for the more seasonal offerings available - delicious sprats & aoili, & crispy, salty/sweet grilled mackeral in a chorizo & chickpea broth got the thumbs up. The service was quick, & v accommodating. And if you are a celeb spotter, this could be the one for you - my companion was sat by sara cox & hubby (both glued to their Blackberries) on a recent visit. A few words of warning: don't get trapped in the souless conservatory at the back; & unsurprisingly, the pub gets really rammed at wknds, so you'd be advised to book.
