I brought a group to London and Suzie, the manager of the Troubadour, arranged a great afternoon meal for us. The cottage pie and vegetable lasagna were large portions and delicious, much more than I could eat---the sticky toffee pudding is incredible----And the service staff are first rate!

For atmosphere Troubadour has to be one of the best in London - and I've lived here for over 20 years. Another plus: it's fabulous for the cool teenager, the upmarket professional and the slightly bohemian writer. I took my 15-yr-old niece there for supper last week. The service was a little slow because the place is so busy but the people doing the serving were lovely. The food was prepared with delicious ingredients but my niece's chicken was a little dry. Fries are divine!

Stepping off the busy Brompton road I entered into what can only be described as a cross between a french cafe and a dutch nicotine stained bar.

The french onion soup was warm and wet yet lacked the crispy cheese top, but the fries and mayonaisse were great.

This little gem is well worth a look and offers live music too.
