Cracking pub. Huge place with all the bar sports you need - darts, table football, Golden Tee and quizzies. Good beer, lovely staff (mostly Ozzies) and nice food - cheap as chips...
Opening hours unrivalled for any other pub in SW pretty much. 3am finish on Saturdays. Wow. Go there, it's unbeatable.

Victorian pub with cosy interior for winter bitter-drinking and a great big green garden for late-night white wine spritzers in the summer. Late licence on weekends means the Duke livens up no end on a Saturday night, while the menu gives you somewhere to go for some decent grub with a Sunday hangover. Halloween and Christmas parties are taken pretty seriously by the staff in terms of fancy dress and bar decoration, though the twinkly lights are beginning to look a bit weird now that its April...
The Duke provides an escape from the relentless Claphamisation of Balham, being quite trendy, but not too much. I have wondered if I'd like it so much if it wasn't so close to my house (easy stumbling distance) - and I think maybe I would.
