I see that The Grove is now back in the hands of Young's Bewery which is good news. This should see an improvement in service. I might even think about making it my local again.

Superb pub, the food is ecquisite, whether it be the bar menu during the week or the Sunday roast selection. The pub is part of a small chain who also run the Alma and the Ship in Wandsworth. The majority of the food comes from their own farm so only the best ingredients.

Lovely atmosphere and no Sky television or gambling machines so you thankfully don't get any tracksuit wearing, bling-bling idiots in the pub.

Full marks

What a great place, the food is fantastic as well as being very reasonably priced, the staff are excellent and the atmosphere there is good. The Portugese house red is lovely, I highly recommend it, only a tenner a bottle! Peter sounds like a right pleb...

Its a great pub, sofas, good wine, but I have to agree about the time it takes to get a drink. I think the bar staff do give a toss, but its always understaffed. The food is ok, but overpriced.

Peter, quite clearly does not know what he's talking about. I suggest he revisits the pub in normal licensing hours.

The food is fantastic and generally, represnets excellent value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending this to any of my friends, family or colleagues. Whether you want a sandwich at lunch during the week or you want to pre-order a side of beef or lamb, you must try it! The menu is normally changed every month or so, so this ensure a decent bit of variety.

The wine list is good and reasonable plus they also keep a damn fine pint of beer!

It is very hard to get a drink in this pub. The staff just do not give toss.

great place, the staff are suberb, very personable and make you feel like you have been going there for years. The food is fantastic too. The Sunday Roast is becoming famous you have to book a week in advance. ****
