Went to Dusk for the first time a few weeks ago on a Thursday night. The bar wasn't packed but there was a great atmosphere. The music was excellent and drinks were out of this world. Definitely the classiest piece of neighbourhood drinking south of the river.

I have been to many hot cocktail bars in London and this one beats many of them, its members mainly but more relaxed than pretentious, smile and be polite to the girl on the door and getting in shouldnt be problem. The decor is great, modern but comfy. The cocktails are great, I have exhausted many cocktail menus in the past but i found these to be really innovative and well made. The service is attentive but not in your face. and smiley and helpful which is so important and yet so often neglected!. Prices around £5-6 per cocktail and £7 for ones with champagne so really well priced for what you get. i cannot recommend you go there more, best on a thursday as it gets packed on the weekends!!

This started promisingly but turned out to be a thoroughly negative experience. We knew it was in the middle of nowhere so that was not a problem and we loved the decor and the initial atmosphere. We got there at about 8.30 on a Saturday and so had no trouble getting in. But we were meeting some friends who were attending a wedding reception in the function room (which was supposed to seat 60 even though there were only 18 seats). As the guests arrived, the men were told to remove their ties as this did not suit the image of the bar - perhaps they should have thought of that before they accepted a booking from a wedding party?!! When the bride and groom arrived they were refused entry until he removed his tie - he argued for a while but was flatly told that he was not getting in to his own wedding reception unless he dressed down. When we left there were two other parties having arguments with the management because they had friends outside who were not being let in despite having bookings - evidence that at least three special events were being ruined by the ridiculous attitude of the management and their belief that the parties were here to meet their criteria (inc the one tucked away in the function room). The queue was no more than 10 people and there was room for everyone - but the management were just being obstinate and ignoring the concept of delivering basic service.

The bar is like a supermodel who is a bitch to know. Just admire the decor and then get away as fast as you can.

Enjoyed a night out at Dusk last tuesday for a friends birthday. We all had a great time. The 2 for 1 on cocktails is such a great deal and they also do platters of food that are just what you need to soak up the booze!

There was a nice atmosphere in the bar, and for a tuesday it was fairly busy all night. The bar staff were very attentive and we hardly had to wait anytime at all each time we wanted another drink.

Only one criticism, the seats arent that comfy. They are very low down and so are the tables, this made you feel a bit squashed after a while. Didnt stop us downing 8 cocktails each though..would totally recommend it to anyone.

I just love Dusk. It's a pleasure to have such a great bar as a local. Before Dusk opened, the only option for cocktails was either Eclispe or Townhouse. But these are both quite pricey. Dusk offers fantastic value for money and incredible drinks. I'm sorry that some people have not had the same expereince as me. I'd say try it again, it'll be worth it!

Well done guys!

My God! I don't know what's wrong with some people. Dusk is by far the best bar in South London! There's no dance floor because it's a BAR, not a club!! How can anyone say it's over priced??? The cocktails are about £6, you'll pay much more than that in any other bar. I agree that it can take a while to get served, but the guys are making cocktails not pulling pints!

Can someone explain to me the point of a bar where the music is so loud you can't have a conversation (yet there is no dancefloor) and the bar staff are so busy pretending to be cool that they can't be bothered to serve you? So if you can't chat, you can't dance and you can't drink... what are you supposed to do?
