I've been to this place many times because it really is one of the best kept secrets in London! The decor of the place is ultra hip and the place overall is very cosy! I like the fact that it is tucked away only a few blocks away from the bustling Oxford Street - a perfect place to come for a drink or two after shopping (well, ith my girlfriend!!)!

The food was amazing! I tried many of the starter dishes and they are all really tasty! The 3 course menu only cost £30, I think it's a good deal bearing in mind that wherever you go in London will cost that much anyway.

Overall, a great place to be!! Friendly staffs, great food and cocktails, wonderful decor and cosy atmosphere... Go and check out if you have no already done so!!

this has to be one of the most romantic and cosy bars in town. walking down the stairs from the front of the furniture shop, you feel like you have escaped from the cold london streets. fairy lights, candles and fire places give this bar as relaxed atmosphere. its great for a quiet catch up or a romantic evening. there are plenty of sofas in the bar area, spaced quite far apart which make you feel like you dont have to whisper to your companion. dinner is pricey but worth it - sitting in cove like areas you feel as though you have the whole place to yourself. i had a wonderful evening and didnt want to leave

Yikes - just called to reserve a table for 6 people, drinks and nibbles and its a minimum spend of GBP250.....Hmm Will find a pub! Shame because we used to like it here (in the winter only)

Before going to this place I read the reviews of others and noticed that like most places this place had a fairly mixed bag of comments! I'm pleased to say that I was delighted that I kept my booking and went along anyway. Okay, it is a little pricey - we spent £120 for two (but with LOTS of booze!), but the restaurant itself was well worth the money for a special occasion. The staff were friendly and attentive (without being pretentious and in your face) and the food was definitely in the very good category. MOST OF ALL though, this place bucked the trend of London and allowed you to sit at your table for as long as you liked and a large majority of the tables had a good two metres or more between them...how nice not to have to whisper to your friends because the people on the next table are blatantly listening to your conversation! The privacy and intimacy of this restaurant makes it a real winner! Oh, and my girlfriend loved it too, especially the quirky fireplace features! We'll be going back...

Great venue to buy a fireplace, not so great to buy food.

The irony of two mains arriving stone cold, (in this of all venues) ,was not lost on me. When they came back from the kitchen, at least the plates were hot. The same could not be said of the beef. Staff were pleasant and helpfull.

The turning off of fires, alerts you that closing time is near. Novel.

An original concept , that unfortunately is not as polished as you would expect.

Would the last person, please turn the gas off...........................

This place was laid back, cosy (with the warmth from all the fires too), hip place, good service, nice wine and other drinks, open space so as you don't feel too crowded in on anyone else's space, overall relaxing time. It's like a nice, hidden secret place, so don't tell too many people about it, or you'll have a hard time getting in the next time you try! Oh, I guess writing this reviews does not help for that matter either. good fun- cheers!

nice idea.. fires all over the place.. eer gets very hot.. too hot.. most of our group had to leave as it was so uncomfortable.

Small ( and I mean small ) bottles of beer £4, with £0.50 service charge even when you go to the bar to collect.. we all know we live in Rip off Britain but this place takes the biscuit.. nothing compensates for this huge price differential between this place and some great bars/restaurants which are 10-20% cheaper.

Best avoided..

This is a lovely, discreet bar hidden behind the facade of a furniture shop. Huge sofas and an open fire give it a relaxed ambience, and it offers a nice slection of food and wine, though it's best to book a table even just for drinks. Not exactly cheap and can get a bit 'media', but well worth checking out.
