Royal Oak
your comments review this restaurant
After getting stuck at London Bridge we decided to do what every self respecting Londoner does, retire to a pub and moan about it. The Royal Oak was suggested by someone who knew the area vague and had heard good things about it, after a couple of wrong turn (it is ridiculously easy to find when you have been there once) we came across the wonderful pub that is the Royal Oak. Ordering food at 9 (I think we were the last of the evening) we were served in a sensible time with steak and ale pie, whole plaice, and a cottage pie, all were very good and all for £20. The bar staff were friendly without being false and seemed to amuse themselves by deliberately miss understanding the 2 americans who ventured in, another tradional past-time. Overall loved the place and would heartliy recommend it...secretly and only to people I like etc etc
