Market Place

i went here on a saturday night, thought it was a bit dark in the bar bit downstairs, but then moved to a cozy area with lots of light. The cocktails were lovely and the atmosphere was really good, however the choice of music played was a little questionable, but otherwise a wonderful hip bar/restaurant with wonderful looking decor.

I went to Market Place on a Friday night - there were literally hundreds of people outside. While the place definitely has atmosphere, the beers are limited to Erdinger and Budvar and it seemed like we were waiting a lifetime to get served. Avoid it on a Friday unless you are very patient and don't want to eat anything.

This place is a great gathering spot for friends: it is spacious, yet cozy, and, while being a bar, serves great food! This kind of place which combines everything you want of a night out, makes it an especially attractive option on a week night after work. Even more than that, it has the trendieness of a central bar without too much pretention- I would say that it is a good middle road to an enjoyable evening out.

Surprisingly good food, especially as the restaurant's minimal atmosphere doesn't really suggest that it will serve up anything better than standard bar snacks. The food is hot, fresh, sometimes spicy and mostly tapas, but very creative in its execution. The place can get VERY crowded, but it's a great place for lunch when you've been out shopping. I can't really recommend you sit downstairs, especially later in the day, because the music tends to becoming deafening in the early evening. A stylish, not-overly-trendy break from Oxford Street madness.

Great atmoshpere especially on sunny evenings.
Fab drinks - like the wooden "decor" and the snack-like nibbly food. A perfect accompaniment for catching up on the goss with friends!

This is a great bar with a excellent menu. The staff are efficient but laid backall at the same time, just like the bar itself, it is a excellent place to relax if you're wandering about Oxford St and need to get away for a bit. Though not for long as it get very crowded once work hours have ended, there is a rush of suits. The interior is wonderful and innovative for london, there is a relaxing feel even when it's jam packed, which it often is.

This is a great place to get away from the oxford street madness. I've only been in during the day when it's a cool refuge from the warm smoggy streets outside. I always relax with an Erdinger beer and some of their great food.
The hangover hash used to be great although they've since taken it off the menu, and the empanaditas (both meat and veggie) are always a treat. It's the kind of place you can chill, eat and drink at your leisure and sunday afternoons are particularly good.

I work local and eat here a lot. Tapas with a twist or latin street food as the menu claims, to reassure you its way nicer than any food i've purchased off any Latin street. The roast pumpkin empanditas are particually equisite. Apart from a leaky roof - no really, and very loud music - ok so i am over 35 (at lunch time volume level much kinder) - really cool place. Packed with the after work crowd so you won't feel a dickhead in your in your suit.
