Myself and two of my friends chanced up this place and had a really nice time here. I was surprised by how friendly and nice the bar staff were, and how quickly we were served.Soon to be relocating to london and think that I have found my favourite bar in London! - One warning...go easy on the 7% cherry Flavoured Ale, my friend has NO recollection of the whole night afterthat, but I did warn him not to drink more than 4 of them!- Go to the Nordic Bar if you want a bit of a more layed back atmosphere, still with good music and a good ambience, and for those who want to avoid hectic, rowdy, troublesome, overcrowded and unfriendly bars. Drink prices are also better than most.

The idea of a Scandinavian bar seems perfect. The Scando people are big drinkers, brew great alcohol and have some of the best looking people in the world to serve it all to you - booze and barmaids in perfect harmony. In fact, the bar staff here look like they’ve just come from a modeling photo shoot and are more than happy to serve you all manner of vodkas, cocktails and beers with a friendliness that you won’t find off the usual London bar staff. Although underground and quite small, the Nordic Bar is a bit of a gem and worth the price it costs to get drunk there. The Red Erik dark beer from Denmark is (apparently) the most expensive pint in London at £4.30 a go. But at 6.5% it’s something of an experience, while the Lapin Kulta beer from Finland, according to legend, is brewed exclusively by women. There are over 20 different kinds of vodka designed to keep out the cold or just sink plain old pints of Carlsberg if you don’t want to splash out. And did I mention that the bar staff here are all beautiful Scandinavians?

VERY VERY SMOKY. Must have zero ventilation or air con. Very ordinary crowd. Perhaps I should be grateful that there wasn't a sticky red carpet, but that was its only redeeming feature. Thankfully it wasnt too crowded for a saturday night. But my god it was smoky. It really caught in the back of my throat. Very unpleasant.

Alll in all a nice enough looking place but not remotely glam, just pleasant. not naff, but not cool either. Ordinary crowd and VERY smoky. I cant believe they serve food in that type of environment. My clothes STINK of smoke like you wouldnt believe

Very chilled out scandanavian style basement bar with a friendly atmosphere and great tunes. The drinks selection is diverse and not unreasonably priced. Good vodkas obviously!

Nordic do theme nights - and thats definately the time to go there. The staff can generate a great party atmosphere and are all friendly and attractive. Nick -one of the charismatic owners - is often there and he is a shrewd judge of barstaff character. Clientelle are generally youthful and attractive. One speciality they sell is Swedish Pear Cider. It is simply gorgeous and you have to try it - you'll thank me. The pub itself has three distinctive areas: the front area - generally for socialising with mates, the bar area - where it is actually possible to chat to strangers (as an Irishman I find the pub culture in London not a great one for meeting new people) and a rear "chill out" area. The music is always great: a nice mix of modern pop/dance. They do bar snacks that are not bad either. A great drop in and see what happens pub..with a scandavian twist.
