Lovely traditional pub with very well done traditional food - we had an excellent plate of smoked salmon with capers and cracked black pepper, a substantial steak sandwich with chips (top quality beef it would appear) and a large plate of nachos to share.
Also good selection of interesting ales and a quality line up of lagers - no rubbish they had coors, grolsch and carling extra cold. If we'd had the time or it had been with clients there is a large and well-chosen wine list to delve into.
Sky tv was on too.
